ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will:
Strategise for Success: Develop and implement a business strategy with the CEO to achieve growth in engineered products.
Lead Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to maximise lead generation and the Engineering Manager to prepare accurate quotes.
Drive Profitability: Partner with the Financial Controller to establish pricing and margin strategies.
Lead with Impact: Be an integral part of the leadership team of an innovative, growing Australian business.
PRODUCTS & MARKETS
You’ll champion innovative solutions across diverse markets:
Defence:
Vehicle Dehumidifiers & Battery Management Systems: Build on past success with over 100 units purchased by the Army and engage with Australian industry content managers and Defence primes.
Portable Refrigeration & Mortuaries: Expand opportunities with disaster relief groups and Defence primes, leveraging Heuch’s proven solutions adopted by the ADF and NZDF.
Mining & Industry:
Chillers & Air Dryer Systems: Target mining facilities and industrial sites needing rugged, Australian-made systems built to withstand extreme heat and dust.
Universities & Research:
Environmental Chambers: Offer bespoke chambers for research on human performance, clothing testing, and more, with advanced functionality and custom solutions unmatched in the market.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
– A proven track record in business development, preferably with experience in Defence, Mining, or Industrial markets.
– A collaborative mindset to work effectively with technical, financial, and marketing teams.
– The ability to build and nurture relationships with clients and stakeholders, including Defence primes and disaster relief organisations.
– Technical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning about innovative engineered products.
